Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, vacuuming carpets, dusting surfaces, and replenishing amenities to ensure a pristine environment.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and breakfast areas by sweeping, mopping, disinfecting, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Handle cleaning agents and chemicals safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Use various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and janitorial tools efficiently to achieve optimal results.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks when moving furniture or supplies to facilitate efficient cleaning routines.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff at all times.
- Manage custodial supplies inventory and report maintenance or repair needs promptly to housekeeping management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial work, or industrial cleaning is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including floor cleaning and chemical handling.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving equipment or furniture.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward guests and team members.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards.
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical agents used in cleaning.
- Demonstrated reliability with a strong work ethic and attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards across all hotel areas.
