Job Description:
Holiday Inn Express Hillsville by IHG is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our team. This position is responsible for overseeing the front desk during overnight hours, while practicing aggressive hospitality and courtesy at all times. This is a part-time position, typically 2–3 nights per week, with flexibility required for weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Process all payments according to established procedures and requirements.
- Provide information to any guest or visitor inquiries in person or via the telephone.
- Completion of the nightly audit of the business day.
- Understand and communicate promotions and enhancements effectively with guests regarding the IHG One Rewards program.
- Processing credit cards and reconciliations.
- Breakfast prep. before the breakfast attendant arrives at 6am.
- Cleaning the front desk, lobby, and breakfast areas while following the IHG Way of Clean 5-S Cleaning Program.
- Check public restrooms, guest laundry, pool, business center, and fitness center for cleanliness while following the IHG Way of Clean 5-S Cleaning Program.
- Remove trash from all common areas as needed.
- Maintain laundry in the absence of the laundry attendant.
- Provide prompt yet personal service at times of check-in & check-out.
- Approach all encounters with guests, employees, and members in a professional and personalized manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Must have a professional image and personality exuding confidence and leadership skills whilst encouraging safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Help management apply the credit policy and guest billing policy.
- Expected to conduct oneself in a professional manner in all guest areas.
- Ensures that the safety & confidentiality of all matters pertaining to guests and members are met in accordance with hotel standards.
- Know all hotel emergency procedures.
- Other responsibilities, based solely on the General Manager's discretion.
Requirements:
- Must be able to work overnight shifts (11 pm – 7 am).
- Availability on weekends and holidays is required.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math/computer skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
- Hotel experience preferred but not required (training provided).
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
