What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Staff Auditor I position at North Carolina Office of the State Auditor?
The Office of the State Auditor (OSA) is looking for Staff Auditor I to assist with various financial audits performed on entities across state government, including institutions of higher education.
As part of our team, you will get to:
• Participate in planning meetings for assigned audits where the team discusses audit risk and designs audit procedures to address the risks
• Conduct on-site fieldwork, including gaining an understanding of internal controls
• Analyze accounting transactions and perform test procedures
• Continue learning to expand and develop technical skills
OSA is the state’s Fiscal Watchdog. We hold state government and entities that receive public money accountable, working on behalf of North Carolinians to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse.

Minimum Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree with 24 semester hours in accounting from an appropriately accredited institution
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
