Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, HVAC units, and facility infrastructure to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety compliance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct repairs including welding, electrical wiring, and mechanical adjustments to restore equipment functionality efficiently.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automated systems within manufacturing processes.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders, parts inventory, and equipment history.
- Lead facilities maintenance projects including residential painting, equipment upgrades, or safety improvements while supervising team members when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Assist in training junior technicians or new team members to foster a knowledgeable and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a strong mechanical background.
- Knowledge of electrical systems including wiring, schematics, and troubleshooting with tools such as ohmmeters.
- Hands-on welding skills with the ability to perform metal repairs effectively.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and automation systems used in industrial settings.
- Strong understanding of schematics, technical manuals, and facility layout drawings.
- Experience with CMMS software for managing maintenance workflows.
- Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively across teams and document work accurately.
- Supervising experience is preferred to lead maintenance projects or oversee team activities confidently.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy equipment or working at heights as needed.
