Part-Time Maintenance / Janitor

We’re hiring a reliable part-time Maintenance/Janitor to help keep our facility clean, safe, and well-maintained.

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Maintenance/Janitorial professional to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our facilities. This role is vital in maintaining a welcoming, sanitary environment that promotes health and productivity for all staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to following safety protocols while delivering exceptional custodial services. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained workspace through hands-on cleaning, maintenance tasks, and facility care.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Handle custodial duties such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal to uphold high standards of sanitation.
• Operate floor buffers and other specialized cleaning equipment to maintain floor care and ensure surfaces are spotless and safe.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards; report issues promptly for resolution.
• Safely handle chemical agents following proper chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as painting, minor repairs, or replacing fixtures to support overall facility upkeep.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning and maintenance activities, including heavy lifting and manual handling practices.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, maintenance activities, and safety compliance for accountability and continuous improvement.

Skills

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial cleaning practices.
• Strong ability to handle cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools effectively.
• Familiarity with chemical agent handling safety procedures to ensure safe use of cleaning products.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on sanitation standards and facility cleanliness.
• Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented attitude when interacting with staff or visitors.
• Basic facilities maintenance skills including minor repairs or residential painting experience is a plus.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
