Breakfast Attendant/Cook

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team in a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various aspects of food preparation and service, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and a passion for hospitality. This role requires versatility, as you will be involved in multiple areas including cooking, cleaning, and guest relations.

Duties

• Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and meal assembly.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Support banquet events by setting up dining areas, serving food, and bussing tables promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.
• Uphold high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout all stages of food handling.

Experience

• Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary skills including knife skills and meat cutting is advantageous.
• Experience in guest services or hospitality roles is highly valued.
• Knowledge of dietary aide practices and food handling regulations is a plus.
• Proficiency in using POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and guest relations are essential.
