Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance / Houseman to join our hotel team. This role is essential in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of the hotel facilities. The Maintenance / Houseman will perform a variety of tasks related to property upkeep, repairs, and guest service support. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities to maintain a welcoming environment for our guests.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel to ensure all areas are in excellent condition.
- Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping tasks in guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas as needed.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or guests, addressing issues efficiently to minimize disruptions.
- Conduct inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and tools required for maintenance and cleaning tasks.
- Support set-up and breakdown for hotel events or functions as required.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel policies during all maintenance activities.
- Assist with other duties related to the upkeep of the hotel environment as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel maintenance, housekeeping, or a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, or general repair work is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude toward guest service.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
