Summary:
The Bartender/Server is responsible for preparing, mixing, and serving beverages and food items to guests efficiently and courteously, while ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and brand standards. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions:
- Greet guests warmly and professionally, engaging them in a friendly manner.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with recipes and company standards.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system promptly.
- Serve food and beverages to guests seated at the bar, lounge, or restaurant area.
- Ensure guests' needs are met throughout their visit; anticipate guest needs and respond promptly.
- Check guest identification to verify legal drinking age.
- Maintain a clean, organized bar and service area, including side work, cleaning duties, and restocking as needed.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately following hotel procedures.
- Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment; follow procedures in handling intoxicated guests.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation policies.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down bar/lounge area for special events or daily operations.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge of current drink and food menus, specials, and hotel promotions.
- Perform opening, mid-shift, and closing duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 18 years of age (21 where required by law).
- Previous experience in bartending or food and beverage service preferred.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and work calmly under pressure.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must possess a valid alcohol service certification (where applicable).
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds.
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and balancing.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment.
Work Environment:

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
