Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning of residential spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface cleaning to maintain a spotless environment
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met or exceeded
• Manage laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens with care and efficiency
• Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and floor polishing to preserve flooring quality and appearance
• Handle manual lifting of furniture, appliances, or heavy supplies safely following proper techniques for heavy lifting and manual handling
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas when required by performing outdoor work tasks such as patio or porch cleaning
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific needs, provide updates on completed tasks, and ensure satisfaction with services rendered
• Use janitorial equipment responsibly for cleaning surfaces, floors, carpets, and other areas requiring detailed attention
• Follow all safety protocols related to sanitation, chemical handling, and equipment operation to promote a safe working environment

Skills

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments with strong janitorial or custodial background
• Proficiency in cleaning techniques including dusting, surface sanitation, carpet cleaning, floor care, and outdoor maintenance
• Knowledge of various cleaning detergents and their appropriate applications for different surfaces
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the workday
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina for outdoor work and extensive cleaning duties
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about their needs and expectations
• Experience managing housekeeping schedules or supervising housekeeping staff is a plus
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and other tools necessary for thorough cleaning tasks
• Attention to detail in all aspects of cleanliness and sanitation procedures ensuring high-quality standards are consistently met
