Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, hallways, and administrative spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Follow established protocols for environmental services to ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and hospital safety guidelines.
• Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces.
• Manage waste disposal and linen handling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, supply usage, and safety inspections to ensure accountability and quality assurance.
• Use janitorial equipment safely and effectively while adhering to environmental services best practices for sanitation.
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks during shift changes and address any immediate cleaning needs promptly.

Qualifications

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience in healthcare or commercial settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to environmental services and safety procedures.
• Experience with floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, or carpet extraction is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of cleaning protocols for hospitals or healthcare environments.
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation.
