Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, and maintaining smooth front desk operations in a dynamic hotel or resort environment. Bilingual skills and hospitality management experience are highly valued to enhance guest relations and overall experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in/check-out procedures
- Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications using multi-line phone systems and hotel management software
- Provide accurate information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services to guests
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain accurate guest records and ensure confidentiality of guest information
- Assist with night audit procedures as needed to ensure financial accuracy at shift end
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to fulfill guest needs promptly
- Uphold high standards of phone etiquette and guest relations throughout all interactions
- Support event or conference setups if applicable, ensuring smooth operations at the front desk
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality management or hotel front desk operations preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse guests effectively
- Knowledge of hotel management systems and multi-line phone systems preferred
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently
- Hospitality or hotel experience is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed
