Title: Production Farm Intern
Description: Holden Farms is seeking motivated and passionate students pursuing careers in agriculture to join us as a Production Farm Intern. This hands-on internship offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in swine production while working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive and innovative environment.
Hours: Onsite, Monday through Friday 6am – 4:30 p.m.
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage provided.
Essential Job Functions: As a Production Farm Intern, you will:
- Participate in a variety of farm projects including:
- Daily animal care and welfare
- Data collection and record keeping
- Assisting with farrowing and piglet care
- General barn maintenance and biosecurity practices
- Learn about sow farm operations, production flow, and team collaboration.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and farm goals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Previous livestock or swine experience.
Education/Experience
- Currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
