Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication of menu options and specials
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining a high standard of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage cash handling duties accurately, including cashiering and processing payments with POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling, sanitation, and food preparation procedures
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving any concerns professionally
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Ability to multitask effectively with strong time management skills in a busy setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with culinary preparation or kitchen operations is a plus
- Effective communication skills for serving guests, taking orders, and collaborating with team members
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management
