Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and providing exceptional customer service. You will manage guest seating, handle transactions, and assist with various front-of-house operations in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with seating options.
- Manage the reservation system and ensure efficient seating arrangements to optimize guest flow.
- Process customer orders accurately using the POS system, including Aloha POS, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Handle cash and credit transactions efficiently and responsibly.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant services to enhance their dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including menus and dining tables.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service delivery.
- Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally to maintain positive guest relations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in guest services or food service is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others in a team-oriented setting.
