Position Overview:
The Banquet Bartender - On Call will support Meetings and Events by providing excellent service, ensuring smooth operations, and creating memorable experiences for guests. This role requires flexibility, professionalism, and a passion for hospitality.
The ideal candidate will have a solid knowledge of beverage preparation and service, a detail-oriented approach to work, and previous experience preparing cocktails in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve beverages to Meetings and Events guests
- Greet guests and respond to guest inquires and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
- Mix and garnish beverages according to recipe and portion control standards
- Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with federal, state, local, and company laws and regulations
- Accurately total, process, and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using Micros POS, handling cash, and processing credit and debit cards
- Set-up and stock mobile banquet bar(s) and maintain the bar to include, but not limited to, beer, wine, spirits, paper products, condiments, glassware, and ice
- Cut, store, and ensure product quality of all beverage related perishables
- Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as discontinuing alcohol service and notifying management of potential problem(s)
- Know and understand what a BEO is, making sure that all beer, wine, and spirits are counted for at the end of the night
- Perform side work in preparation for upcoming events
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience bartending in Meetings and Events in required
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays on an On Call basis
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move equipment and furniture
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
