Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, review, and issue purchase orders based on production needs, reorder points, and sales requirements
- Confirm pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Review order acknowledgements and update purchase orders as needed
- Follow up on open purchase orders and expedite material when required
- Maintain and update supplier pricing, price lists, and standard costs in the system
- Receive and verify purchase orders for accuracy against quotes and orders
- Communicate order status, delays, or discrepancies to internal stakeholders
- Assist with sourcing suppliers and obtaining competitive pricing for materials and services
- Coordinate returns for incorrect, unused, or excess material and track return documentation
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
- Support continuous improvement efforts within the purchasing function
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Maintaining supply chain credit card statement and receipt reconciliation
- Minimum of high school diploma, GED or equivalent. Degree in business preferred.
- At least three years in a position with purchasing responsibilities
- Experience working with ERP systems preferred
