Senior Mechanic

Hog Lick Aggregates is searching for a motivated individual to be the lead mechanic on our team. As lead mechanic, you will:

• Coordinate with the Quarry Foreman and other Mechanics as to daily priorities and daily work plan.
• Diagnose and repair our mining and aggregate processing equipment.
• Oversee competition of preventative and routine maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with Parts and Inventory Manager to ensure correct purchase and proper stocking levels.
• Consult with vendors and consultants as to repair and maintenance issues.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform repair and maintenance activities as required.
• Ensure that routine/preventive inspections, cleaning, and maintenance is completed.
• Keep all work areas clean and neat, store all tools and equipment.
• Provide training to other mechanics with respect to maintenance priorities.
• Consult with Logistics Coordinator to specify and order parts and materials.
• All tools and equipment will be provided by Hog Lick Aggregates.

Qualifications:

• Experience maintaining and operating the following:
• Diesel engines.
• Hydraulic systems.
• Pumps and valves.
• Tracked equipment.
• Wheeled equipment.
• Electrical systems.
• Knowledge of fuel systems, lubrications systems, transmissions, and electrical motors
• Experience working with maintenance tracking and work order management systems
• Experience in reading blue prints, one-line diagrams and schematics
• Experience with welding, fabricating, fueling.
• Experienced Miner Certification
• First Aid & CPR or willingness to obtain certification.
• Prior experience working at a mine or a quarry.
• Operator certification preferred

Compensation:

• Hourly wage based on experience and qualifications
• Regular overtime (approx. 10 hours per week) with primarily a Monday – Friday schedule

Pay: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour
