REPORTS TO: Project Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled Field Superintendent to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the start-to-finish completion of Hoffmann projects. This includes regular communication with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and Hoffmann office personnel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate leadership, sound judgment, accuracy, tact, strong customer service, and patience. The responsibilities listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
Responsible for the full-cycle completion of Hoffmann projects both at our facility and on job sites. Coordinate activities with on-site vendors, subcontractors, and customers.
Effectively communicate with Project Manager and Hoffmann office personnel.
Demonstrate strong leadership to hold crews accountable and lead by example.
Maintain fully stocked and compliant first aid kits.
Conduct daily kickoff meetings, including stretches and safety tips.
Exhibit excellent customer service skills and always maintain professional client communication.
Plan and manage job schedules at least two weeks in advance.
Maintain confidentiality and consistently represent Hoffmann with a positive attitude.
Review employee timesheets, PTO requests, and attendance records.
Coordinate disciplinary actions, drug screenings, and new hire processes with HR.
Complete all required invoices, coding, and receipt submissions by the designated deadline.
Submit necessary reports, including daily reports, incident/safety reports, and job completion documentation.
Assist in training and onboarding new, current, and prospective employees.
Evaluate equipment for repairs or replacement and coordinate with appropriate personnel.
Review and evaluate employees for annual merit increases and present feedback to the appropriate manager.
Lead evacuation and emergency procedures, as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
A minimum of 5 years of relevant concrete experience required.
Proficient in forming, placing, and finishing concrete.
Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills required.
Excellent work ethic and attention to detail.
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Be able to lift, carry objects weighing up to 50 to 100lbs.
Climb ladders and work at heights up to 200 ft.
Stand, kneel, bend, or crouch for extended periods.
Work in outdoor environments and around construction/industrial conditions.
Willingness to work extended hours beyond the standard 40-hour workweek.
Ability to stay on-site for multiple weeks at a time, with extended weekends once a month.
