What are the responsibilities and job description for the Die Cast Process Technician position at Hoffmann Die Cast?
Monitor and control the Die Cast process to ensure all jobs are running up to standards.
**Must have Die Cast Process Experience**
- Utilize process monitoring equipment
- Monitor and control Die Casting process including machine parameters, die lube, metal & die temperatures, and tie bar loading.
- Verification of process audits both by Die Cast Operators and Supervisors
- Assist Die Cast Supervisors in trouble shooting and issue corrective action reports on a timely basis
- Track shot tip and cold chamber life
- Work with Die Cast Department to establish process standards on all new jobs and update standards on exiting jobs as needed to maintain Quality standards and quote rates.
- Toshiba Die Cast machine experience a plus
- Must have good math and mechanical skills, be able to read and understand graphs and scales, understand pressure/time/ velocity relationships.
