Maintenance Supervisor – Hoffmann Die Cast
Location: 229 Kerth St, Saint Joseph, MI 49085
Hoffmann Die Cast is seeking an experienced DIE CAST Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our maintenance department. This position is responsible for leading maintenance staff, supporting production needs, improving equipment reliability, and helping drive safety, quality, responsiveness, and cost goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance department operations
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment following company, MIOSHA, and OSHA standards
- Supervise, train, schedule, coach, and support maintenance employees
- Diagnose equipment issues, determine root causes, and implement immediate and long-term corrective actions
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Support maintenance of CNC equipment, robotics, PLCs, and high-pressure die cast machines
- Perform building maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general upkeep as needed
- Assist with welding, fabrication, budgeting, and maintenance reporting
- Develop maintenance skills, training plans, and individual department objectives
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong hands-on maintenance background in a manufacturing environment
- Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, CNC, robotics, and die cast equipment preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Safety-focused and dependable
- Welding and fabrication if necessary.
- Assist with budget development and reporting.
