Not every technician wants to spend their career inside the same service bay.

At Hoffman Ford, we're looking for a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our Ford Mobile Service team. This position offers the independence of working in the field while still having the full support of Central Pennsylvania's premier Ford dealership.

As a Mobile Service Technician, you'll drive a fully equipped Ford Mobile Service van to customers' homes and businesses, performing dealership-quality maintenance and light repairs on-site.

What You'll Do:

Every day is different.

As a Mobile Service Technician, you'll travel throughout Central Pennsylvania providing convenient, dealership-quality service directly to our customers at their locations.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform scheduled maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, batteries, filters, wiper blades, and fluid services
• Complete recall repairs and other light repair work
• Perform digital multi-point inspections
• Accurately document repairs using Ford systems and dealership software
• Communicate professionally with customers before, during, and after each appointment
• Explain inspection results and recommend additional maintenance items when appropriate
• Coordinate with our Mobile Service Advisors and customer(s) to ensure an outstanding customer experience
• Keep your Mobile Service Van clean, organized, fully stocked, and ready each day
• Follow all dealership safety procedures and maintain a professional appearance while representing Hoffman Ford

• Experience using laptops, tablets, diagnostic equipment, and dealership software.

Qualifications

• 2 years of automotive technician experience preferred
• Ford experience is a plus but not required
• Pennsylvania State Inspection & Emissions License preferred (or ability to obtain)
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
