Buyer - Manufacturing

HOERBIGER Corporation of America (HCA) is seeking a Buyer to join our Valve Segment team in Pompano Beach, FL. HCA is an industry leading manufacturer of high-tech precision compressor valves and components used across the energy industry.

The Buyer is responsible for purchasing materials and parts in the manufacture of valves, executing daily operational purchasing activities as driven by production demand. The position also handles strategic activities as assigned.

Main Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders to ensure supplier on time delivery
• Obtain quotes as needed, create, and manage info records and source lists for new materials.
• Ensure safety stocks are filled based on inventory and scheduled supply.
• Review and manage master data, such as material master, info records and source lists.
• Monitor supplier performance and work with quality to receive supplier corrective action for conformance issues.
• Negotiate with suppliers as needed to reduce material costs. Support and or develop contracts with suppliers for critical components.

• Five years’ experience as a Buyer in a related manufacturing environment
• Five years’ experience using a comprehensive ERP system (SAP preferred), and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) software
• Bachelor’s degree in related field such as supply chain management, business, finance, manufacturing management, engineering (or equivalent additional experience)
• Excellent business communication skills (verbal, written), able to present information clearly and accurately through email, text, chat, call, and video call
