SUMMARY
Verifies receipt of and performs a damage inspection on vehicles delivered to the dealership. Moves and cleans vehicles, keeps the vehicles in sound working and compliant condition. Wash all service Customer’s cars, Wash loaner cars, and preform new car prep for customer delivery. Parks and arranges vehicles in an orderly manner. Performs vehicle battery checks and maintains records according to Dealership standards. Helps the Service or General Manager as requested.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Clean customers vehicles that are ready after having service work performed.
- Maintains new and used vehicle inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, replenishing all vehicle fluids as needed, and replacing batteries when necessary.
- Keeps vehicles fueled.
- Ensures that required forms/stickers have been completed and are properly displayed.
- Keeps the lot neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the management and in accordance with dealership display standards.
- Performs vehicle battery checks, charging vehicles when needed, and maintains Battery Log per Dealership/Manufacturer standards.
- Assists in various facility maintenance and cleaning activities.
- Inspects vehicles or equipment for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
- Drives vehicles as needed and directed.
- Makes key tags for vehicles.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Acknowledges visitors with a smile and greeting, and directs them to necessary dealership personnel.
- Delivers/Picks up vehicles from events or customers when needed.
- Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection.
- Applies dressing on tires and tire wells.
- Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows, and wipes down doorjambs.
- Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surface.
- Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris.
- Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- No prior experience or training.

REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
