What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Manager position at Hocon Gas?
Hocon Gas is seeking a highly motivated and goal-oriented Service Manager who is familiar with Propane and Fuel Oil service and products and has a proven track record of designing and implementing successful service programs. The ideal candidate will be able to work closely with a team of service technicians and with our customers to coordinate work schedules with other departments, troubleshoot technical issues, and design and implement continuous service improvement processes. This position requires a confident professional who will be responsible for ensuring that our customers are completely satisfied with our products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule service calls with customers and coordinate services with internal departments
- Dispatch service technicians to jobs and ensure all materials required for service calls are in stock and organized for each work order
- Diagnose and troubleshoot service requests.
- Be available either via phone or in the field to direct and assist service technicians requiring additional training or on difficult service jobs.
- Be available after hours and on weekends to provide technical support to field technicians and for emergency calls.
- Develop plans and solutions for diagnosing problems and training employees to avoid them in the future.
- Consult with and guide service technicians to ensure that service department activities adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of employees' training performance.
- Interpret policies and procedures for other personnel.
- Maintain the quality of services provided as part of a service contract by effectively leveraging a wide variety of resources, including vendors, parts and subcontractors.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Propane, Fuel Oil or HVAC industries.
- 1 Years Supervisory Role
- CDL B with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements
- CT G-2, CT B-2 or CT S-1 License
- High School degree or equivalent
- Clean driving record
- Must be able to pass Pre-Employment drug test and background check
