What You’ll Get to Do

- Lead with purpose: Oversee the daily rhythm of the program, support your team, and jump in with direct care when needed to keep ratios—and morale—strong.
- Build a welcoming community: Foster an atmosphere where every child feels included, families feel heard, and relationships with school partners grow stronger each day.
- Grow and support a fantastic team: Recruit, hire, train, and schedule staff—and guide them through ongoing coaching and performance evaluations.
- Keep things running smoothly: Ensure compliance with all EEC licensing regulations, maintain a safe and organized program space, and manage supplies and snack inventory.
- Communicate with heart and clarity: Connect regularly with families, school personnel, and YMCA colleagues to build trust and keep everyone in the loop.
- Stay organized behind the scenes: Maintain accurate attendance and documentation, complete required reports, and ensure adherence to all licensing requirements.
- Keep learning: At the Y and with your peers, complete at least 20 hours of professional development annually to stay inspired and grow in your role.
