Job Summary
Hochstetler Metals is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions of the company while helping maintain accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the business.
The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and takes pride in accuracy. This role works closely with management and is best suited for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work in a fast-paced office environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Record customer payments and vendor invoices.
- Record and reconcile transactions.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Prepare financial reports for management.
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
- Help maintain accurate customer and vendor records.
- Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing digital and paper records.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and other business documents.
- Maintain customer and vendor information in company software.
- Assist with processing customer paperwork and maintaining accurate records.
- Help coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Provide administrative support to management and assist with special projects as assigned.
- Perform other administrative and bookkeeping duties as needed.

Qualification:
- 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred..
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping principles.
- Payroll experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in manufacturing, wholesale distribution, or construction is a plus.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
