Job Summary
As a Cashier/Customer Service Representative, you’ll keep checkout moving smoothly while helping customers find products and complete purchases. You’ll operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, handle cash and other payments accurately, and bring a friendly, attentive approach to every interaction. Your impact: Accurate, welcoming service helps customers shop with confidence and leave with the products they need.
Duties
- Process retail sales transactions, operate the cash register, and balance the cash drawer according to store procedures.
- Answer customer questions, use strong phone etiquette, and share retail store product knowledge.
- Support retail sales through helpful upselling and product demonstrations.
- Stock shelves, maintain merchandising displays, and keep checkout and sales areas organized.
- Assist with daily store operations and, when assigned, help supervise team members.
Requirements
- Customer service, communication skills, basic math, and retail math skills.
- Experience with cashiering, cash handling, cash drawer handling, and POS or cash register operations.
- Retail sales experience; grocery store experience is helpful.
- Familiarity with stocking, merchandising, product demos, and upselling is preferred.
- Supervising experience and bilingual communication skills are welcome.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
