Responsibilities
- Measure and prepare work areas accurately using blueprint reading and schematics to ensure precise installation.
- Install various flooring types such as tile laying, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and carpet with attention to detail and quality standards.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and securing flooring materials.
- Perform surface preparation tasks including leveling, sanding, and water damage restoration to ensure optimal adhesion.
- Apply caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation techniques to achieve seamless finishes.
- Conduct floor care maintenance like buffing and cleaning to preserve the longevity of installed floors.
- Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects, cabinetry installation, construction painting, concrete finishing, and restoration work as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in flooring installation, tile laying, or related construction roles with a strong understanding of blueprint reading and schematics.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment for precise craftsmanship.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and familiarity with the restoration industry is a plus.
- Experience working on construction sites with an emphasis on safety protocols and quality standards.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately for complex installations.
- Strong carpentry skills including trim carpentry and cabinet installation are desirable.
