What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Assistant position at HOA Company?
Nicklin Community Management is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Assistant to join our team! If you're passionate about numbers, organization, and supporting a high-performing accounting department, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
· Invoice processing as needed according to annual association budgets
· Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries, insurance and licensing requirements, invoice discrepancies, and payment status as needed.
· Assist with journal entry data entry as needed
· Assist with title transfers as needed
· Assist with collections as needed
· Assist with monthly reconciliations for bank, ICS, CDARS, and CD accounts as needed
· Assist with month-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations, as needed.
· Provide support to the accounting team as needed, including data entry and administrative tasks.
· Candidates with additional qualifications (such as Staff Accountant experience) are strongly encouraged to apply. Compensation is based on experience, and higher pay is available for applicants with advanced skills or accounting backgrounds.

What We’re Looking For:
· Must have excellent computer skills, including a solid background using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe. Specialized HOA software, VMS a plus!
· Ability to multitask with ease, effectively work in an environment of high volume, and be flexible to handle changing priorities and short time frames to complete work assignments.
· Ability to keep work assignments moving forward quickly and on schedule
· Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with various people.
· Have a solid accounting mind and skillset
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
· Can handle confidential matters discreetly and professionally.
· May be required to sit for extended periods related to computer usage and required finger/hand/wrist movements. Light lifting.
· Ability to follow through on tasks and commitments
· Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to learn and adapt.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· HOA experience is a plus
