Join a leading multi-state creditors’ rights law firm as a Foreclosure Paralegal. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on foreclosure or civil litigation experience who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You’ll play a critical part in moving cases through the judicial foreclosure process accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with court rules and client requirements.
What You’ll Do
Case Management:
- Oversee a large caseload at various stages of foreclosure.
- Maintain accurate records in case management systems, including deadlines, notes, and documentation.
- Monitor critical dates and ensure timely completion of all required steps.
Document Preparation & Review:
- Draft complaints, motions, affidavits, notices, and other foreclosure-related filings.
- Review returns of service and court documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure all filings meet state-specific and client guidelines.
Court & Client Support:
- Prepare files for hearings, mediations, and conferences.
- Communicate with courts, opposing counsel, and other parties regarding case status.
- Assist attorneys with client reporting and updates.
Collaboration & Problem-Solving:
- Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants across multiple offices.
- Identify and resolve file issues promptly; escalate risks when necessary.
- Contribute to a team culture focused on quality, accountability, and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- 2 years of experience as a paralegal in judicial foreclosure or civil litigation.
- Strong understanding of complaints, returns of service, and civil procedure.
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload with precision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case/document management systems.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Rhode Island or Florida.
Preferred:
- Experience in creditors’ rights, foreclosure, bankruptcy, or real estate law.
- Familiarity with multi-state foreclosure processes and investor/servicer guidelines.
