Associate Litigation Attorney
Location: Long Beach, CA
Schedule: Full-time, on-site (hybrid option available after training)
Compensation: $125,000–$150,000 base salary
Overview
Our team is partnering with a well-established law firm in Long Beach to assist them in hiring a dedicated Associate Litigation Attorney. This position is ideal for recent law school graduates or attorneys with up to four years of experience who want to gain substantial hands-on litigation exposure while growing within a respected, high-performing practice.
The selected candidate will work directly under the firm’s experienced partners, who prioritize mentorship and professional development. This role offers early involvement in active cases, providing valuable insight into litigation strategy, case management, and courtroom work.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will support our client’s litigation team by:
- Managing a high-volume caseload involving commercial and consumer debt litigation.
- Drafting and reviewing motions, complaints, pleadings, and legal correspondence.
- Preparing FDCPA letters and overseeing complaint filing procedures.
- Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff on behalf of the firm.
- Attending court hearings, starting with status and procedural matters, with opportunities to advance to oral arguments and more substantive appearances.
- Staying organized across multiple cases, deadlines, and documentation needs.
- Collaborating closely with partners, paralegals, and support personnel to ensure timely and accurate filings.
- Participating in weekly team meetings focused on case strategy, workload, and assignments.
- Maintaining timely communication, including responding to internal and client emails within 24 hours.
Qualifications
- Education: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Bar Admission: Active California Bar license
- Experience: 0–4 years in litigation or a related legal practice area preferred
