Overview


We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney licensed in Louisiana to join our growing Judicial Foreclosure and Title Clearance team in New Orleans. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to manage an independent caseload while working alongside a collaborative team of attorneys and legal professionals supporting foreclosure, title clearance, and real estate-related matters throughout Louisiana.


The ideal candidate will possess strong legal analysis skills, extensive experience reviewing title and foreclosure matters, and the ability to provide strategic recommendations to clients. This role is well-suited for a motivated attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex title and legal issues, and is committed to delivering exceptional client service.


Responsibilities

  • Manage an independent caseload involving judicial foreclosure, title clearance, and related real estate matters.
  • Review foreclosure documentation to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Interpret and analyze loan documents, foreclosure pleadings, and title records to identify legal issues and recommend resolutions.
  • Review title reports, examinations, and related documents, identifying title defects and providing recommendations to clients.
  • Research, evaluate, and resolve simple and complex title issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare, review, and revise legal opinions, correspondence, pleadings, reports, and other foreclosure-related documentation.
  • Provide legal analysis and recommendations regarding foreclosure, title, and compliance-related matters.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, vendors, opposing counsel, court personnel, and internal stakeholders regarding case status and strategy.
  • Exercise independent judgment in evaluating legal risks, compliance concerns, and file-level issues.
  • Collaborate effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient file management and client service.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with clients, vendors, and business partners.
  • Monitor case progression and ensure timely movement of files through the foreclosure and title clearance process.
  • Participate in training initiatives, industry events, and additional projects as needed.
  • Travel occasionally to attend court proceedings, client meetings, trainings, or industry conferences.


Requirements:

  • Active Louisiana State Bar membership in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of attorney experience.
  • Experience in real estate law, title review, title clearance, and related legal matters.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and legal procedures.
  • Ability to analyze case law, assess legal risks, and provide practical recommendations.
  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and client-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and legal technology platforms.
  • Experience using case management and document management software.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
