What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Manager, Performance Optimization position at HMSA?
- Lead and manage the function providing oversight of all matters relating to the maintenance and enhancement of internal operations processes and systems to support HMSA's operational and related programs.
- Governance and relationship oversight of service providers which includes ensuring all new benefits/processes are implemented accurately while corrective actions are also completed according to Service Levels Agreements (SLAs).
- Project management leadership for all improvement/corrective activities for the claims area. Includes working effectively with internal and external partners to ensure timelines and quality standards are achieved as expected.
- Develop and lead an effective unit by effectively recruiting, developing, managing performance, and motivating staff to meet organizational goals.
- Interview, hire, mentor, develop staff for the Internal Operations job family
- Implement creative recruiting techniques to address staffing needs
- Administer disciplinary actions and termination when necessary
- Identify training needs & oversee development of training programs
- Promote career growth through coaching and development opportunities
- Recognize achievements and inspire staff toward higher levels of performance and quality
- Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned or directed.
