Position Summary
The Shipping Associate is responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing orders and shipments within the Logistics Center, ensuring timely delivery, cost-efficiency, and inventory accuracy. This position involves picking, packing, and coordinating shipments, dispatching packages as well as maintaining accurate inventory records and operating necessary equipment.
Essential Job Functions
Receive, inspect, process incoming shipments
Pick, pack, and ship outgoing shipments
Coordinate and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery
Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation
Maintain accurate inventory
Collaborate cross functionally with internal stake holders
Ensure high quality standards are followed for the pick, pack, ship process
Assist in restocking and maintaining the organization of each workstation with boxes, shrink wrap, and prepare skids
Address logistics issues and provide solutions to avoid delays
Perform all computer functions necessary to track various shipped goods
Follow safety regulations and practices
Minimum Requirements
1-3 years of experience in a warehouse environment
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Working Conditions
Must be able to stand, move and walk frequently
Will move and transport up to 50 lbs occasionally
Must be able to climb and balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl occasionally
Behaviors for Success
Strong performance and reliable attendance record
Have the ability to do basic math and the ability to read a measurement scale
Familiarity with computer software such as Microsoft Office and ERP Systems
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize while multi-tasking
Safety Hazards
Adherence to soldering equipment safety requirements posted in the manufacturing facility
Read and follow MSD sheets posted in manufacturing facility
