Position Description
- Provide engineering and surveying resources for internal projects such as land, building, and infrastructure development including research, layout, staking, and data reporting
- Lead development of requirements for internally generating civil drawings and contract documents needed to procure land use or building permits
- Generate civil drawings and contract documents for internal projects
- Report as-built and other verification of jobsite items including anchor bolts, embeds, and steel elevations
- Develop procedure documentation and resources for quality control of various processes for both shop and field work activities
- Validate dimensions on complex assemblies, such as multi section trusses which are field assembled
- Lead bridge girder validation of vertical and horizontal curvature
- Confirm large bolt hole patterns in structural steel assemblies
- Establish control/reference points prior to fabrication of complex assemblies
- Work in teams to ensure cross-discipline communication and quality control throughout the Haas Group of companies
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field required
- Kansas Professional Surveying license required
- Knowledge of structural steel and miscellaneous metals preferred
- Ability to read and interpret contract drawings and specifications preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Highly organized with strong time management abilities
- Maintain valid driver’s license
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
