Position Summary
The CDJR Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles while delivering quality workmanship and an exceptional customer experience.
Technicians play a critical role in dealership success by performing repairs efficiently, accurately documenting work performed, and collaborating with service advisors and fellow technicians to ensure customer satisfaction and department productivity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as outlined on repair orders
- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, HVAC, and drivability concerns
- Utilize manufacturer diagnostic equipment and repair procedures
- Perform multi-point vehicle inspections and identify additional service opportunities
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly with Service Advisors
- Complete warranty repairs according to manufacturer guidelines and requirements
- Maintain accurate and complete repair order documentation
- Test-drive vehicles as needed to verify concerns and repair quality
- Follow all dealership, manufacturer, and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Attend required training and stay current on evolving vehicle technologies
- Collaborate with team members to support shop efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous automotive technician experience preferred
- CDJR experience preferred but not required
- Ability to operate scan tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair software
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and shop conditions
- Ability to safely operate customer and company vehicles
Work Environment
- Automotive service department environment
- Exposure to moving vehicles, machinery, automotive fluids, and shop equipment
- Moderate to high noise levels
- Fast-paced, performance-driven workplace

Compensation is based on experience, certifications, productivity, and skill level.
