Duties
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including material staging and site cleanup
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, concrete pumps, and saws to perform tasks like concrete pouring, cutting, finishing, and formwork construction
- Support carpentry work including framing, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and renovation projects
- Install rebar, construct formwork, and interpret blueprints or schematics to ensure accurate construction according to plans
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks such as moving materials, installing masonry or stucco finishes, and working on roofing or restoration projects
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations and ensure compliance during daily operations
- Assist with concrete finishing, concrete cutting, concrete pumping, and other tasks related to concrete work
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction projects or in a construction environment is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are advantageous
- Ability to read blueprints, interpret technical drawings, and understand construction plans and schematics
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and specific trade techniques such as rebar installation or formwork construction
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and commitment to safety protocol adherence
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions for extended periods
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in carpentry, masonry, roofing, plastering, caulking, flooring installation or restoration projects
