Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to support construction activities
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as rebar, concrete forms, and building supplies
- Support concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, and mixing using concrete mixers and pumping equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of plans
- Construct formwork, install rebar, and handle masonry tasks like stucco, drywall, and tile installation
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations and ensure compliance at all times
Requirements
- Prior experience working on construction projects or in a related labor role is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are advantageous
- Ability to interpret blueprint specifications accurately for various tasks such as framing, roofing, or flooring
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and schematics reading
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, working at heights (roofing), and performing strenuous tasks over extended periods
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions and technical drawings effectively
