Job Summary: Group Strategy at HKEX is responsible for shaping, incubating and driving the delivery of key strategic initiatives across the firm. The team partners closely with internal and external stakeholders across a spectrum of initiatives, including product and platform development, market-facing initiatives, cross-exchange collaborations, and the exploration of new and complementary business opportunities. This role offers a unique opportunity for a highly commercial and analytical candidate with a desire to contribute to the regional and global financial markets. Experience in strategy, corporate finance or exchanges is strongly preferred. Capital markets or business development experience is a plus. Job Duties: Take day‑to‑day leadership of key analytical workstreams and strategic problem solving across a wide range of initiatives Drive strategic research on market trends, competitive dynamics, and topics relevant to HKEX’s business Develop strategic recommendations for senior management and the Board, ensuring high‑quality insights and clear narratives Work closely with cross‑functional teams to help evaluate and progress strategic initiatives, ensuring effective coordination and follow‑up across divisions Participate in meetings with business partners, regulators, government counterparts, and external stakeholders, supporting senior team members in preparing materials and capturing outcomes Support the assessment of strategic opportunities, including acquisitions, investments, partnerships, and new business initiatives, through analysis, modelling, and preparation of decision materials Generate new strategic ideas that support HKEX’s long‑term vision and market development Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members, providing direction, quality control, and professional development guidance HKEX is committed as an Equal Opportunity Employer.
