Assistant Vice President, Platform & Infrastructure

Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Vice President to drive strategic initiatives aimed at upgrading and modernizing derivatives market infrastructure and systems. Job Duties: Responsibilities: Analyze the business requirements and ensure alignment with strategic business goals Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs Evaluate current business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement to achieve enhanced operational efficiency and effectiveness Validate technical solutions to ensure the business requirements are met and align with best practices Analyze data and metrics to inform decision-making, providing insights into trends and potential impacts of system changes Facilitate smooth transition to new processes, including training and support for end-users Coordinate testing activities to ensure quality standards and address any issues that arise Provide updates on project status, risks, and outcomes with key stakeholders in a transparent and effective manner Requirements: University Degree, preferably in business administration, finance, or a related field. At least 8 years of relevant experience in a well-established financial organization Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Associate Knowledge of DCASS or derivatives market in Hong Kong / overseas are preferred Experience in derivatives clearing or clearing house related functions is a plus Strong knowledge of the derivatives markets and products, including equities, fixed income, rates and currencies Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge in various project management tools eg.
