HJ Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support daily HR operations for a client in Panama City, Florida. This role will assist with onboarding, employee records, background checks, orientations, scheduling, compliance support, and general administrative HR duties.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (some weekends required)
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate background, reference, and pre-employment checks
• Prepare onboarding and new hire paperwork
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation
• Assist with orientations, offboarding, and employee support
• Provide administrative support to the HR team
• Support HR projects, compliance tracking, and employee initiatives
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of administrative or HR-related experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and multitask effectively
• Must pass a 7-year background check and reference checks
