Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Apprentice to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our manufacturing facilities and equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires a can-do attitude and positive outlook.
Responsibilities:
- Replace electrical components on machines (i.e. PLC’s, Drives, Counters, etc.…)
- Repair mechanical and hydraulic components on machinery
- Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair
- Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs
- Maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
Skills:
- Strong electrical knowledge, including the ability to work with logic controllers and read schematics
- Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques
- Mechanical knowledge to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions
- Experience in facilities maintenance, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and general repairs
- Leadership skills to effectively manage projects and coordinate with other team members
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with staff and address their maintenance needs
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal, working knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
