Contract Analyst (Procurement & Contract Management)
Location: Hybrid, Hicksville, New York
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Position Summary
Hive Co has a contract opportunity with our client for an experienced Contract Analyst to support procurement and contract management activities. This role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and administering contracts for storm response and capital projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and federal regulations, including FEMA-funded procurement requirements.
This position will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Government Contracts, Capital Projects, and Procurement to drive efficient, compliant, and cost-effective contracting strategies.
Key Responsibilities of the Contract Analyst
Contract Management & Procurement
- Develop and execute RFPs, Purchase Orders, Contracts, Amendments, and Change Orders
- Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle for services and materials
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and FEMA (2 CFR 200) regulations
- Administer contracts and purchase orders, ensuring timely execution and delivery
Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Pre-qualify suppliers and manage vendor relationships
- Conduct pre-bid meetings and site walks
- Perform market research and cost analysis to support sourcing strategies
- Promote cost savings and supplier performance improvements
- Support supplier diversity initiatives (MWBE & SDVOB)
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Coordinate with project teams, suppliers, contractors, and consultants
- Monitor contract and PO deliverables, ensuring timelines and expectations are met
- Provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders
Process Improvement & Analytics
- Perform bid analysis and develop recommendations for contract awards
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
- Utilize advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting
Required Qualifications of the Contract Analyst
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- 5 years of experience in contract management and procurement
- Experience executing construction services contracts
- Proven experience with FEMA-compliant contracts (2 CFR 200)
- Strong experience issuing RFPs, performing bid analysis, and drafting award recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate contract terms and amendments
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (may be tested)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP, Ariba, and/or PowerAdvocate
- Background in utilities, energy, or infrastructure projects
