We are looking for a highly skilled Manufacturing Senior Accountant to oversee general ledger accounting and financial operations within our battery storage systems division. This role will ensure the accuracy of financial records, manage month-end closings, and provide insights into manufacturing financial performance. The ideal candidate will work closely with finance and production teams to maintain compliance and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

General Ledger Management:

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger for manufacturing operations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and post journal entries related to cost accounting, inventory, and manufacturing transactions.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare financial statements and manufacturing-specific reports, such as cost of goods sold (COGS) and production performance summaries.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for cost optimization.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with manufacturing goals.

Inventory and Cost Accounting:

• Oversee inventory accounting, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Support the development and maintenance of standard costing models for battery storage manufacturing.
• Reconcile inventory accounts and collaborate with the supply chain team on valuation adjustments.

Audit and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and company policies.
• Support internal and external audits by providing requested schedules and documentation.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls specific to manufacturing activities.

Collaboration and Process Improvement:

• Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to understand and improve cost efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
• Provide financial guidance to cross-functional teams to support manufacturing goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• 7 years of experience in general ledger accounting, with exposure to manufacturing or cost accounting.
• Industry experience in battery storage, renewable energy, manufacturing, or related technology sectors preferred.
• Strong understanding of GL accounting principles, manufacturing processes, and cost structures.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience working in a matrixed or cross-functional organization.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and regulatory compliance requirements.
