Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on marine engines, propulsion systems, and related equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics, multimeters, and other precision measuring instruments
- Rig boats with MFD's or Graphs utilizing NMEA and ABYC standards.
- Install the appropriate proprietary network cables and switches
- installation of various fishing accessories such as trolling motors, power-poles, crappie brakes, talons, lights etc.
- installation of speakers, amps or complete sound systems
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex systems effectively
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status and recommendations clearly
- Be positive and communicate effectively with a team
- pay attention and treat each boat as if it was yours
- maintain a clean and organized work space
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or Marine Mechanic with a strong background in rigging and marine electronics
- Solid understanding of 12V wiring and Can-Bus communication systems
- Knowledge of accessories and their systems (powerpole, Talon, crappie brakes,livescope, etc.)
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, wiring and crimpers, and heavy lifting techniques
- Familiarity with boat maintenance and systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics accurately
- Customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong mindset and positive attitude
