Provides expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of processes, plans and procedures. Designs methods to improve efficiency in production, reduce process variability and assure compliance with approved methods and quality standards exercising discretion and independent judgment in the evaluation of possible courses of conduct and acting or making decisions after the various possibilities have been considered.

 

Prime Responsibilities and Major Factors in Evaluating Performance:

1.            Maintain plant financials in accordance with GAAP.  This includes month-end and year-end close, B/S reconciliations and audits.

2.            Maintain internal control in accordance with Hitchiner policy and code of conduct.

3.            Complete the quarterly forecasting process.

4.            Prepare annual standard cost plan, setting work center rates for inventory valuation and standard product costing.  Measure actual results and variances to plan on a monthly basis.

5.            Prepare financial analysis and forecasts as needed to support Plant business objectives. 

6.            Assist operations management in interpreting financial statements and other financial data as needed.

7.            Coordinate physical inventories for WIP, Shop and Maintenance supplies.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

1.            Performs other duties as assigned.

2.            Ensure that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with the Company’s Code of Conduct.

 

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:

1.            BS in Accounting or Business Administration; MBA desirable.

2.            5 years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.

3.            Must be able to work well under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

4.            Possess strong interpersonal skills, discuss business direction, be inquisitive and ensure decisions make business sense.

5.            Highly organized with the ability to articulate results, search out and lead improvements, not just report the numbers

6.            Should have prior experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint, etc) and ERP software(s).
