Position in a Nutshell
The HR Business Partner III serves as the primary HR advisor to assigned client groups across multiple manufacturing plants, partnering with business leaders to align people strategies with operational objectives. This role provides strategic and operational HR consultation that enables leaders to build high-performing, engaged teams while ensuring the consistent application of HR programs, employment practices, and organizational policies in support of business objectives.
What You’ll Do
- Strategic Business Partnership (20%)
Partners with business leaders to understand business priorities and translate organizational objectives into workforce strategies that enable operational success. - Organizational Effectiveness (20%)
Partners with leaders to develop organizational structures and workforce plans that support business objectives while enhancing team effectiveness and operational efficiency. - Leadership Consultation (20%)
Provides strategic coaching, consultation, and practical HR guidance that strengthens leadership effectiveness, accountability, and sound decision-making. Equips leaders to effectively manage performance, navigate employee matters, and foster an engaged, high-performing workplace. - Talent & Workforce Strategy (15%)
Develops proactive talent strategies that enable the organization to develop, engage, and retain the workforce needed to achieve current and future business objectives. - People Insights & Continuous Improvement (10%)
Uses workforce analytics, business knowledge, and organizational trends to identify opportunities, anticipate risks, and influence business decisions. Recommends data-informed solutions that improve workforce outcomes, operational effectiveness, and the employee experience while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. - HR Strategy Execution (15%)
Ensures HR programs, policies, and initiatives are implemented consistently and effectively across assigned client groups in support of business objectives. Promotes compliance with applicable employment laws and organizational standards while balancing business needs with sound HR practices.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. An equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be considered.
- Five (5) to eight (8) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience in a business partner, generalist, or comparable professional Human Resources role.
- Experience partnering with business leaders to provide strategic Human Resources consultation and support organizational objectives.
- Experience supporting multiple client groups in a manufacturing, industrial, or other operational environment preferred.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources principles, practices, business partnership methodologies, and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of workforce analytics and data interpretation to support informed business decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships, influence leaders through strategic consultation, and analyze complex business and workforce issues to develop practical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to coach leaders, facilitate organizational change, and support effective decision-making.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound professional judgment in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
