How You’ll Make An Impact
- Lead mechanical design for high-voltage transmission substation projects
- Develop station layouts, grounding plans, and lightning protection systems
- Perform mechanical calculations for structural steel, illumination, and magnetic fields
- Create and manage 3D models using Revit and BIM tools
- Coordinate with electrical, civil, and system engineering teams
- Review vendor drawings and ensure alignment with project specs
- Support testing, installation, and commissioning activities
- Engage directly with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 5–10 years of experience in mechanical/electrical engineering
- Strong knowledge of NEC, ANSI/IEEE standards
- Experience with FACTS or HV substations
- Proficiency in Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Skilled in electro-mechanical calculations and plant design
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
