How You’ll Make An Impact
- Deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions within budget and contract.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and mitigate potential risks.
- Create civil and structural engineering work plans and cost estimates.
- Develop design criteria and design document deliverables for projects.
- Perform engineering in structural design, building design, foundation design, and material specifications for high-voltage substation and FACTS applications.
- Resolve design issues and ensure compliance with national and local codes.
- Review design packages and support construction and field engineering.
- Assume responsibility as the professionally licensed Engineer of Record on project assignments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Licensed professional engineer (Ing.) member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil and/or structural engineering.
- Proficiency in design software such as RISA 3D, RISA Foundation, L-Pile, ENERCALC, Hilti PROFIS, AutoCAD, Revit, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Strong knowledge of applicable standards and codes (CSA S16, CSA A23.3, NBCC).
- Must have work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
