What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVDC: Epoxy Mold Builder Technician position at Hitachi Energy?
- Inspect molds for quality and adherence to specifications
- Clean and lubricate molds; ensure molds, fixtures, and tooling are maintained in a production-ready condition to meet scheduled production
- Replace worn or broken parts and perform repairs to molds and related equipment
- Manage inventory of connection fittings to adequately prepare molding sections for processing
- Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on molds; document maintenance activities as required
- Troubleshoot molds and support production to minimize downtime and scrap
- Monitor, evaluate, and optimize mold performance; With support from Engineering, adjust mold building techniques and process to support quality, efficiency, and throughput.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures and ensure work meets required safety standards
- Follow and participate in 5S activities to sustain a safe, visual, and efficient workspace.
